Actress Rips Whoopi Goldberg and ‘The View’ in Clash Over Nude Photos

Jun 19, 2019  •  Post A Comment

An actress and model who released nude photos of herself, reportedly in an attempt to get ahead of a hacker, posted a tearful rant after she was criticized on “The View.” The New York Post’s Page Six reports that Bella Thorne took to Instagram, where she “ripped into Whoopi Goldberg for saying celebrities should know better than to take naked selfies in the first place.”

You can see a YouTube post of Thorne’s video below. Thorne, 21, says she is canceling a scheduled appearance on “The View,” and also wrote on Instagram: “Dear whoopi, I have loved u for so long but honestly I’m so displeased and sadden by your response to my leek [sic]. Blaming girls for taking the photo in the first place? Is sick and honestly disgusting. So what a girl can’t send her boyfriend that she misses photos of her that are sexy? Things he’s already seen?”

The Post report notes that on Monday’s episode of the daytime talk show, “things got heated when Goldberg and her fellow co-hosts were discussing the actress’ decision to release her own nudes after she says a hacker threatened to blast them out.”

The Post quotes Goldberg saying on the show: “If you’re famous, I don’t care how old you are, don’t take nude pictures of yourself. When they’re hacking you, they’re hacking all of your stuff. So whether it’s one picture or a million pictures, once you take that picture, it goes into the cloud and it’s available for any hacker that wants it. If you don’t know that in 2019, that this is an issue … You cannot be surprised that someone has hacked you, especially if you have stuff on your phone. That’s why they’re hacking you.”

Here’s Thorne’s video, which comes with a language warning …

  1. This young snot’s ignorance and stupidity is clear and concise here. You take nudes of yourself and leave them for others to hack and the use is another reason why social media ruins careers. All this dope did was OK her mistake and allow other dumb nitwits to continue the same bad behavior.

    This chick is an idiot.

  2. I agree with Earl.

  3. It’s just common sense, idiot. Chances are, nobody’s looking to hack me. You are famous; you’re a target. Now, you want to cry and get mad at The View? Grow up. And, no, I don’t even watch that nonsense

  4. No one wants to be responsible for their own mistakes, actions, indiscretions, whatever you want to call it any more. Always someone else to blame.Where has responsibility gone?

  5. This made me a fan of Whoopi, this chick is a moron. A hot moron, but one nonetheless

  6. you are all disgusting. Regardless of your social status, EVERYONE deserves privacy. Whoopi says she stands for women, yet helps with the slut shaming.
