Jun 13, 2019  •  Post A Comment

Actor and sci-fi legend William Shatner, probably still best remembered for his seminal role as Capt. James T. Kirk on the original “Star Trek” series of the 1960s, has a new TV series.

Shatner is the host and executive producer of “The UnXplained,” a new nonfiction series coming to History. The one-hour anthology premieres July 19 with an eight-episode order.

History says the series will tackle subjects that have mystified mankind for centuries, from mysterious structures and cursed ancient cities to extraterrestrial sightings and bizarre rituals.

Said Shatner: “I’m thrilled to be hosting and producing the new History series ‘The UnXplained.’ It’s an intriguing show that will offer viewers credible answers to questions about mysterious phenomena, while also leaving other theories left unexplained.”
