Acclaimed Comedy to Run Just Seven More Episodes Before Wrapping

A comedy series that has been a player on the awards circuit for the past several years, including winning two Emmys in 2015, now has its final run of shows all set. HBO announced plans for the sixth and final season of “Silicon Valley,” which will consist of seven episodes.

The season is due to roll out starting in October.

A collaboration between Mike Judge and Alec Berg, the show has received a hefty 37 Primetime Emmy nominations since it first began chalking them up back in 2014, including five consecutive nods for Outstanding Comedy Series.

The series stars Thomas Middleditch as Richard, Zach Woods as Jared, Kumail Nanjiani as Dinesh, Martin Starr as Gilfoyle, Amanda Crew as Monica, Jimmy O. Yang as Jian-Yang, Suzanne Cryer as Laurie Bream, Matt Ross as Gavin Belson and Josh Brener as Big Head.

Judge and Berg are executive producers, writers and directors. The series is executive produced by Clay Tarver, Lew Morton, Michael Rotenberg, Tom Lassally and Jim Kleverweis; co-executive produced by Ron Weiner, Sarah Walker, and Daisy Gardner. It is created by Mike Judge & John Altschuler & Dave Krinsky.
