After announcing that it is bringing the series to an end, Netflix is hoping to ease the pain for “Lucifer” fans by pumping up its order for the show’s final season. The streamer added six hours to its order for season five of the drama series, bringing the total for the show’s last season to 16 episodes.

Netflix made the announcement on Twitter after news that the show was ending brought an outcry from its dedicated fans. A similar outcry a while back brought the show to Netflix in the first place, after it ended its run on Fox. “Lucifer” moved to Netflix for season four after being canceled by Fox in May 2018.
