ABC has a new show in the works from Mark Burnett, the Emmy Award-winning producer of “The Apprentice,” along with ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. Burnett and Kimmel will executive produce the new game show, “Generation Gap,” along with Barry Poznick.

“This comedy quiz show groups family members of different generations who must work together to answer questions about each other’s generations,” ABC says. “This ‘fun for the whole family’ show features a wide variety of pop-culture trivia and challenges, such as asking an 8-year-old to finish the famous catchphrase, ‘Go ahead. Make my BLANK!”

“Generation Gap” will be produced by MGM Television and Kimmelot. Details about production and airdates, along with a host, will be announced at a later date.

  1. This show is an exact carbon copy of a show done on ABC in 1969 with the same title and same premise. It was hosted by Jack Barry – one of the first things he was allowed to host on a network again since his demise in the 1950s for participating in rigging game shows. Once again, this is nothing new…just another reboot. But this one nobody remembers.
