One of the most anticipated events at each Television Critics Association summer press tour is the “State of Peak TV” report card by FX Networks and FX Productions CEO John Landgraf, who revealed at this year’s event that scripted originals are setting a record pace.

Landgraf said the number of scripted originals through the month of June stood at 335. He noted that if that pace were to continue through 2019, the tally would grow to 520 — beating last year’s record of 495.

“Mayans M.C.” co-creator Kurt Sutter, meanwhile, addressed the issue of violence in the “Sons of Anarchy” spinoff, while FX spotlighted other programming including “Snowfall” and “Pose.”

TVWeek Open Mic writer Hillary Atkin was on hand and filed a full report. Click here to check it out.
