The people behind ABC’s “American Idol” believe there’s more talent to be uncovered around the country, and they’re hitting the road to try to find it. The show’s annual audition tour kicked off July 23 in Brooklyn, N.Y., with 22 cities on the itinerary.

Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie are back in the lineup for the new season, with Bobby Bones returning as in-house mentor.

The next stop for the tour is Mobile, Ala., on Aug. 20, followed by Tallahassee, Fla., on Aug. 23. The tour wraps Sept. 21 in Chicago.
