Ronda Rousey Lands Role on Broadcast Drama

Ronda Rousey, who earned the nickname “Rowdy” during a career as a mixed martial artist and wrestler, will play a recurring role during season three of the Fox drama series “9-1-1,” Deadline reports.

Rousey will play new firefighter Lena Bosko on the first-responders series.

Deadline describes the character as “a stoic and fearless member of the Los Angeles Fire Department Station 136 who leaps into action to save lives when a disaster hits.”

A preview clip released Wednesday suggests that the season, which premieres Sept. 23, will kick off with a massive tsunami hitting Santa Monica. You can watch the clip below.
