NBC’s “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” is planning to air live episodes and Sunday installments to help kick off the football season. The network announced plans for a week of live shows Sept. 23-27 to help get things rolling.

The run of Sunday shows, which are coordinated with “Sunday Night Football” broadcasts, begins Sept. 8 following the game between the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers. The guest lineup for that night includes Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, Kelly Clarkson and musical guest Kane Brown.

Subsequent Sunday episodes will air in the show’s regular time slot leading out from the local news, with “Tonight Show” installments set for Oct. 6, Oct. 20, Oct. 27 and Dec. 1.
