A new survey of U.S. television news viewers shows that the most trusted TV news brand is MSNBC. The study conducted by Brand Keys for Research Intelligencer shows the cable news channel with a 94% index, well up from its 80% index a year ago.
That puts MSNBC slightly ahead of the BBC at 93%, up just a few ticks from 90% a year earlier. MSNBC’s two main cable news rivals, Fox News and CNN, both came in at 82% — with Fox slipping from 87% a year ago while CNN surged from 69% a year ago.
Other outlets ranked by the survey include PBS at 88% (up from 86% a year ago), CBS at 78% (up from 72%), NBC at 77% (up from 70%) and ABC at 74% (up from 69%).
