Biden Campaign Asks TV Networks to Shut Down Giuliani

The Joe Biden presidential campaign has had enough of Rudy Giuliani’s recent appearances on TV, and is taking action in an attempt to shut them down.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Biden campaign sent a letter Sunday to executives at the top broadcast and cable networks letting them know the campaign wants the appearances to stop.

“In a letter sent Sunday to top executives, producers and anchors at the broadcast and cable news networks, two key Biden advisors pressed the outlets to stop booking Giuliani, who has appeared frequently in the last few weeks to [accuse] Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, of a pay-for-play in Ukraine,” THR reports.

THR quotes the letter saying: “We are writing today with grave concern that you continue to book Rudy Giuliani on your air to spread false, debunked conspiracy theories on behalf of Donald Trump. While you often fact-check his statements in real time during your discussions, that is no longer enough. By giving him your air time, you are allowing him to introduce increasingly unhinged, unfounded and desperate lies into the national conversation.”

The letter adds: “We write to demand that in service to the facts, you no longer book Rudy Giuliani, a surrogate for Donald Trump who has demonstrated that he will knowingly and willingly lie in order to advance his own narrative.”

Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and Trump’s personal attorney, has appeared regularly on Fox News lately and was on CBS’s “Face the Nation” and ABC’s “Good Morning America” Sunday.

“At CNN, the letter went to president Jeff Zucker, anchor Jake Tapper, executive Virginia Moseley and executive producer Abigail Crutchfield,” THR reports. “It was also sent to NBC News president Noah Oppenheim, CBS News president Susan Zirinsky, ABC News president James Goldston, MSNBC president Phil Griffin and Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott, among many others, including anchors Chuck Todd and Chris Wallace.”

Giuliani used his Twitter account to respond to the letter, including posting the video clip you can see below.

  1. When people tell you they’re totalitarian, you should believe them.

  2. Funny how the “Press” screams bloody murder when Trump calls them “Fake-News” when story after story is debunked and retractions show up on page E-44 and not at all on TV. Yet Biden decrees the above to all networks and all you hear is crickets. And journalism wonders why it’s reputation is lower than congress.

    • If that were true, then this little bit of news would never have seen the light of day.

  3. Bitem is a great advocate for free speech!
