In what is being described as a creative impasse, Hulu has made the decision not to move forward with the live-action Marvel series “Ghost Rider,” Variety reports. The series had been set to star Gabriel Luna.
Variety cites a source who’s familiar with the situation saying the split was over a creative impasse.
“Luna had been tapped to suit up as the titular Ghost Rider, which would have been the second time that he appeared as the character after portraying the antihero in ABC-Marvel series ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,'” Variety reports.
The report notes that Ingrid Escajeda was on board as showrunner and executive producer, with Paul Zbyszewski and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb also executive producing.
