An upcoming TV project based on a bestselling Stephen King novel filled out spots in the cast, including adding Whoopi Goldberg. The limited series based on King’s “The Stand” is in the works for CBS’s All Access service.

Also joining the cast are Jovan Adepo, Owen Teague, Brad William Henke and Daniel Sunjata. They join previously announced cast members James Marsden, Amber Heard, Odessa Young and Henry Zaga.

The series will be produced by CBS Television Studios. Josh Boone and Ben Cavell will write and executive produce, with Boone also directing. King will write the last chapter of the series, giving it a new ending that isn’t found in the book.

Roy Lee, Jimmy Miller and Richard P. Rubinstein will also executive produce with Will Weiske on board as co-executive producer. Knate Lee, Jill Killington and Owen King are producers.
