‘Jeopardy!’ Host Alex Trebek Pleads for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness — ‘I Wish I Had Known Sooner’

Longtime “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek, who has been waging a high-profile battle with pancreatic cancer, announced his participation with the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition in a new global awareness initiative. You can see Trebek’s new PSA below.

Trebek reveals in the PSA, released ahead of World Pancreatic Cancer Day Nov. 21, that pancreatic cancer is the only major cancer with a five-year survival rate in the single digits.

“I wish I had known sooner that the persistent stomach pain I experienced prior to my diagnosis was a symptom of pancreatic cancer,” Trebek says in the clip.
