A former NBC colleague who has accused Matt Lauer of raping her responded to Lauer’s denial of her allegations. NBC News reports that Brooke Nevils released a statement after Lauer circulated a 1,400-word letter Wednesday denying he assaulted Nevils.

In her statement in response, Nevils said Wednesday: “There’s the Matt Lauer that millions of Americans watched on TV every morning for two decades, and there is the Matt Lauer who this morning attempted to bully a former colleague into silence. His open letter was a case study in victim blaming… I am not afraid of him now, regardless of his threats, bullying, and the shaming and predatory tactics I knew he would (and now has) tried to use against me.”

Nevils alleges in Ronan Farrow’s upcoming book, “Catch and Kill,” that Lauer anally raped her in his hotel room in Sochi, Russia, in 2014, as we reported previously.

  1. Sorry, I am not buying iher allegations. Once, shame on you. Twice, shame on me.

  2. Why did she continue to call Lauer after he ended the relationship??? And why should we believe that her tale is totally true and Lauer’s is all false?? Any reasonable person would realize that while Lauer did some bad things, clearly, SHE was taking advantage of him, as well. Her description of Lauer’s letter is straight from the Donald Trump School of Dodging the Truth about her own actions. And someone in the word of journalism with some guts ought to take a close look at Ronnan Farrow and HIS problems. He thinks he’s the Great Avenger, attaching Woody Allen, Lauer, Lack, and who’s next on his hit list. Frank Sinatra ??????
