Donald Trump let it be known that he wants the public to support one of the contestants on the ABC reality competition “Dancing with the Stars.”
Trump sent out a tweet this morning asking people to “vote for good guy” Sean Spicer. You can see the tweet below.
Spicer followed up with his own tweet thanking Trump and providing instructions for voting. Spicer wrote: “Thank you @POTUS @realDonaldTrump Appreciate all the votes on @DancingABC tonight. Only votes between 8-10pm ET count. Everyone has 20 votes. Text SEAN 10 times to 21523 and vote 10 more at http://abc.com #teamsweetnspicey #DWTS #dwts28”
The show has been criticized for introducing politics into the competition by inviting Spicer, the former White House press secretary, to participate. Spicer and his dance partner Lindsay Arnold are competing for the show’s mirror ball trophy.
Spicer recently admitted that much of his support among the show’s voters comes from Trump supporters.

The point of a legitimate competition is judge competitors based on ability, not “connections”. That’s just basic honesty.
Guess what the President is asking people to do? It’s obviously not about voting for Mr. Spicer’s dancing ability.
And that’s actually insulting to Mr. Spicer.
Yo President Idiot, stop watching TV and watch what’s going on in the world you’re supposed to be running.

Yet trump had absolutely no time, on twitter or in front of reporters to condemn the violent campaign video that was shown in Florida.
