An actress who was best-known for her appearances in television series including “Glee” and “The Big Bang Theory” has died. According to media reports, Jane Galloway Heitz died at age 78.

Her cause of death has not been reported.

On “Glee,” Heitz played Lillian Adler, the former glee club director at William McKinley High.

She made guest appearances on many TV shows during the past two decades, including “ER,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Prison Break,” “Monk,” “CSI” and “Shameless.”
