The daughter of one of the couples swept up in the nationwide college admissions scandal broke her silence as she returned Sunday to her YouTube channel, but Olivia Jade Giannulli, the daughter of actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, mainly said she can’t talk about the scandal.
Before uploading a new 2-minute video Sunday, Giannulli had not posted to her “Olivia Jade” YouTube channel in about eight months. In the new clip she welcomed her followers back to her channel, adding: “As much as I wish I could talk about all of this … I’m legally not allowed to speak on anything going on right now.”
Her parents are accused of paying $500,000 to help get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as recruits to the crew team even though they weren’t involved in the sport. They’ve been charged with conspiracy to commit fraud, bribery and money laundering, and have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
