With “most current” ratings results tallied by Nielsen Media Research for the November sweeps period of Oct. 31-Nov. 27, NBC is declaring victory in total viewers — snapping an 18-year winning streak for CBS in the metric.

The Peacock Network declared Tuesday that it won the November sweeps in total viewers for the first time since 1996.

“The NBC victory snaps an 18-year CBS November total-viewer winning streak, which dates back to 2000, when CBS finished third behind ABC and NBC,” NBC said in an announcement. “NBC also ranked #1 outright for the November 2019 sweep in adults 25-54 and is tied with Fox for #1 for the month in adults 18-49 after trailing Fox in both measures last year.”

NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” was the No. 1 prime-time series in total viewers, 18-49 and 25-54, and NBC also had the No. 1 scripted series, “This Is Us.”
