'Alf,' 'Jake and the Fatman,' 'Major Dad' Best 'Lost' In Finale Audience Size GQ
While "Lost's" 13.5 million viewers tuning in for the show's finale on Sunday is impressive, the show only ranks as the 55th most-watched series finale of all time, GQ reports.
While pre-cable days had a larger concentration of viewers, shows like "Alf," "Major Dad," "Jake and the Fatman," and "JAG" had larger finale audiences than "Lost."
Of course, they all have a long way to go to reach the number one, "M*A*S*H," with its 105.9 million viewers.

None of the shows cited ran against another season finale! The Celebrity Apprentice sucked away a lot of viewers from Lost, especially with all the hype about Bret Michaels' health issues.

It's a serialized show - if you didn't watch the preceding 120 hours, you weren't going to watch (or at least understand) the last two and a half hours. I don't think that the Apprentice siphoned LOST viewers.
