HBO Fantasy Drama Hits Ratings High

HBO continues to score in the ratings with its new fantasy drama series, reports EW.com’s Inside TV blog. The pay-cable network’s fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" hit a ratings high on Sunday, drawing an average of 2.7 million viewers, the story reports.

That represents a 22% gain from its debut, the piece points out. With an additional 900,000 viewers who tuned in for an encore two hours later, the show drew 3.6 million viewers on Sunday, the story notes.

The show’s gross audience for the season to date is 8.3 million viewers, including DVR, HBO on Demand and linear viewing, the article says.
