Former NBCU Exec Tapped to Head MGM’s TV Group

A former NBCUniversal executive has joined Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer as president of its television and digital group, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Company Town blog.

Roma Khanna will oversee MGM’s TV sales, production, program acquisitions, licensing, content creation and digital initiatives. She will report to Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum, MGM’s co-chairmen and chief executive officers.

At NBCUniversal, she was president of Universal Networks International and Digital Initiatives, where she oversaw more than 70 international TV networks such as Syfy Universal, the story says.
