ABC Preps 'Newlyweds' Return

ABC is getting ready to take another walk down the aisle with “Here Come the Newlyweds.”

The network has quietly begun the process of casting contestants for another season of the competition reality series from Warner Horizon Television and producers Jay Blumenfield and Tony Marsh.

Assuming the network approves the cast that producers put together, the show will move forward with production this summer, according to network, studio and agency sources.

Airing Sundays at 10 p.m. during March and early April, “Newlyweds” was one of the low-key heroes of ABC’s post-strike schedule. While much media attention was paid to its lead-in, “Oprah’s Big Give,” “Newlyweds” managed to win its time period among adults 18-49 for each of its six broadcasts. What’s more, it actually added viewers during the course of its run.

“Newlyweds” likely will air sometime during the 2008-09 television season, perhaps as early as November.

Blumenfield and Marsh executive produce via their Jay & Tony Show production banner and Warner Horizon Television.

Well I dont live in LA or have connections but have lots of ideas if only someone would listen.

One thing they should try to bring back is the old game show TATTLETALES with celeb couples answering questions. In these days of reality and celeb obsessed culture, I cant belive no one has done this - whether a prime time show or something on cable....just think of the b list or d list couples

think of all the possibilities.
