Celebrity chef Paula Deen has settled the lawsuit that wrecked her business empire after she admitted in a deposition that she had used racial epithets, reports Bloomberg Businessweek.

"The terms of the settlement were not disclosed; the one-sentence statement filed in U.S. District Court in Savannah announced only that all parties had agreed to dismiss the case," the story notes.

Deen said in a statement released Friday that she’s "working to review the workplace environment issues that were raised in this matter and retool all of my business operations," although she didn’t admit wrongdoing.

The lawsuit was filed in 2012 by a former Deen employee, Lisa Jackson, a white woman who worked for several years at a restaurant owned by Deen and her brother. A judge earlier this month dismissed the race claims in the case.

The piece notes: "That ruling came too late to spare Deen from questions about her racial attitudes in sworn depositions. Excerpts of those depositions made national headlines, and Deen struggled to explain herself in video apologies and an appearance on the ‘Today’ show."
