HBO is about to unleash its new Bruce Springsteen documentary, with the premiere scheduled for Friday, Nov. 27. Broadway World reports that “The Ties That Bind” will take viewers behind the scenes of the making of the rock icon’s double album “The River,” released in 1980, along with the international tour in support of the album.

Springsteen, meanwhile, released a new live clip — presumably coordinated with the HBO project — featuring a performance of the song “Ramrod” from Tempe, Ariz., in 1980.

In addition to Nov. 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, “The Ties That Bind” has playdates scheduled on HBO for Nov. 30 (10 a.m.) and Dec. 3 (3:20 a.m.), 6 (9 a.m., 3:45 p.m.), 11 (7:05 a.m.), 15 (11:45 p.m.), 17 (11:45 a.m., 2:15 a.m.) 19 (11 a.m.), and 22 (4:30 p.m.).

Dates set for HBO2 are Nov. 28 (10 a.m.) and Dec. 7 (8 p.m.), 10 (4:45 p.m.) and 20 (3:10 p.m.).
