Nominations Announced for 37th Annual Sports Emmy Awards

Nominations were announced today for the 37th annual Sports Emmy Awards, with the lion’s share of nominations being distributed among networks belonging to the ESPN-ABC, Fox Sports, CBS Sports and NBC Sports groups.

Among individual networks, ESPN leads the nominations with 40, followed by Fox Sports 1 with 27, CBS with 21 and Fox and NBC with 19 apiece.

By group, the ESPN group, which includes ESPN, ABC, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and other ESPN outlets, chalked up 56 nominations, with Fox Sports Media Group following with 38 nods. The CBS group, which includes Showtime, received 29 nods, followed by NBC Sports Group with 28, Turner Sports with 16 and HBO Sports with 13.

Among individual programs, ESPN’s “E: 60” leads all nominees with eight nods, while “Fox Sports Live” and CBS’s Super Bowl 50 coverage each received seven.
