MSNBC’s "Morning Joe" hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski openly pitched moving their show to CNN when they ran into Time Warner chief Jeff Bewkes, reports the New York Post.

Scarborough reportedly told Bewkes, whose company is the corporate parent of CNN, how much more convenient the commute would be to CNN’s Columbus Circle headquarters, the story says.

The hosts recently lost their executive producer Chris Licht to CBS News, the piece points out.

Scarborough denied the pitch and said it was a joke, telling TVNewser, "Mika and I plan to work at NBC for a long time."
