Drama Series Canceled

A drama series that never quite gained traction apparently won’t be getting any more chances to do so. Entertainment Weekly reports that USA Network has canceled “Complications” after its 10-episode freshman season.

Season one opened on a promising note with 1.91 million total viewers, but the audience numbers drifted lower, hitting a low of 1.07 million for the show’s third episode. The finale, which aired Aug. 13, delivered 1.40 million.

The show starred Jason O’Mara as a disillusioned ER doctor whose life changes after he kills a street gang member.

EW notes: “USA has four pilots in the pipeline to potentially replace the show, plus has two promising forthcoming drama series — sci-fi thriller ‘Colony’ and drug-running drama ‘Queen of the South.'”

  1. So, based on his track record of shows dying around him, is Mr. O’Mara an updated Ted McGinly?

Just kidding. I like Jason O’Mara as an actor, and was actually starting to get in to “Complications”. And I really liked his season of “The Agency”.
