NBC and Nexstar are investing heavily in station Web sites, MediaDailyNews reports. The move would help NBC nearly double its digital sales initiatives and ratchet up executive bonuses at Nexstar, where corporate bumps are derived from online performance. NBCU, which recently acquired Web programming producer LX.tv, revealed a 2008 business plan that puts 30 more execs on digital sales, with the recent auction of its Miami and Hartford stations will help fund the expansion.
