CBS Paramount signed Jeffrey Bell as showrunner for “Harper’s Island,” which it’s reworking for a mid-season launch, the Hollywood Reporter says. Bell will write the first episode in the murder mystery series about friends meeting on a Seattle-area island for a destination wedding, the newspaper reports.
