A survey by Borrell Associates found that online advertising revenue for TV stations rose 72% to $772 million in 2007, TVNewsday reports. TV stations accounted for 6.9% of all local online spending in 2007, twice as much as in 2006, but newspapers still held the lead at 24.6%, the Web site says. The survey predicts that the TV stations may rise another 55% to $1.2 billion in 2008, the Web site notes.
