Argentine network Telefe is attempting to sell the remake rights to its series to U.S. networks, the Hollywood Reporter says. Telefe’s Gonzalo Cilley is in Los Angeles meeting with networks and studio executives to pitch a portfolio of new Argentine formats, the newspaper says. “The Pretenders,” about con artists solving people’s problems, has already attracted Barry Sonnenfeld to help develop an American remake, the newspaper notes.
