Cable News Widens Lead Over Broadcast

Cable news networks now capture 58% of viewers, beating broadcast network news’ 42% share, Media Daily News reports. The gap between cable and broadcast news has grown from the second quarter of 2007, during which cable had a 54% share over broadcast’s 46% share, the Web site says. Fox News leads the cable news channels, garnering 880,000 total viewers a day, the Web site notes.
