Actor-comedian George Carlin, known for naming the seven words you can’t say on television, died of heart failure on Sunday in Santa Monica, CNN reports. Carlin, who had his own series and appeared in numerous HBO specials, was admitted to a hospital earlier that day due to chest pain, CNN says. The 71-year-old was scheduled to receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in the fall.

  1. God Blessed us with you, George.
A Truth sayer from day one. You were hated and feared by the Nixon and Bush Administrations…They could not handle your telling the Truth about who they are/were and what they were up to behind our backs.
Thank you for the many laughs and the equal number of “headsup”.
