Fox Sells Remote-Free TV Ads

Fox’s planned “remote-free TV” broadcasts of new series “Fringe” and “Dollhouse” are garnering pricing premiums of 35%-40% for commercials, Mediaweek reports, citing unnamed media agency sources. The two programs will air with half the usual number of commercials, clearing commercial clutter and shortening commercial pods, the newspaper says. Agency sources estimate Fox has sold 70% of its upfront inventory and could finish its upfront sales by the end of the week, the newspaper notes.
