‘Swingtown’ Shoots for Realistic Approach

Jun 12, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Producers of CBS’s “Swingtown” have tried to make the new 1970s era drama look as authentic as possible with touches such as ill-fitting polyester clothes for the men and set furnishings acquired in weekly trips to thrift stores, the Associated Press reports. The show, which centers on three couples dealing with the sexual revolution, has been criticized by at least two family-television watchdog groups, the wire service says.

  1. As active lifestyles and bloggers are only concern with the show is that since it is based in the 70’s it will only reinforce “swinger” stereotypes that are virtually non-existent in the Lifestyle today!
Here is our discussion about this if anyone is interested.
