Tiger Wood’s season-ending injury is also expected to cause some pain at the networks that broadcast golf because ratings fade when he’s not in tournaments, the New York Times reports. The network that may miss him most is Comcast’s Golf Channel, the Times says. Most commercials for golf events are already sold, the Wall Street Journal says. When ratings inevitably decline, the networks will be on the hook for make-good spots, the paper says.
