Fox’s spinoff of “Prison Break” will not be a character spinoff as originally planned, the Hollywood Reporter says. After struggling with casting and the writers strike, Fox has decided to make a “Prison Break” brand spinoff in the vein of the “CSI” franchise instead, the newspaper says. The working title of the project is still “Cherry Hill” and it will remain set in a women’s prison, the newspaper notes.
