  1. Good for Ed!
I worked with Ed many times over 25 years and have nothing but good things to say about his person and his professionalism.
One year we were doing the Lou Rawls Special for the United Negro College Fund and Ed’s back was out, extreemly painful. I would help him get out of the chair in his dressing room. He would not take any of the pain killers his doctor had prescribed because they would have impaired his performance. They were for home and bed and that’s where he left them.
I had Tylenol in my brief case and shared them with him liberally.
Once steady on his feet, he would take a moment to straighten out and, when ready, would then leave his dressing room to cross the driveway to the studio.
From the time he entered the sound stage until back in his dressing room, he was a trooper. No one knew of his pain except me.
It was such severe pain that many people would have stayed home, but not our Ed.
Always considerate of others and a Great Showman.
Congrats on the new assignment, God Bless you for many more, Ed!
    With a lotta love,
    Peter Bright
