Participants in PBS’s “The Bible’s Buried Secrets,” a two-hour special airing Nov. 18, at a TCA panel promised that the program will have its share of controversy, the Los Angeles Times reports. The special, which relies on archaeological work and biblical scholarship, will pose provocative ideas, such as the notion that many Israelites believed that God had a wife, and will dispute literal readings of the text, the newspaper says.
