The general manager of Tribune Co.’s flagship TV station, Tom Ehlmann, resigned his post at WGN-TV, Chicago, to take to top spot at KXAS-TV, the NBC-owned station in Dallas, the Chicago Tribune reports. WGN’s sales director, Marty Wilke, was named interim general manger at the station. The Chicago Sun-Times says WGN is among the Tribune-owned properties undergoing cutbacks, with at least eight people leaving, including the GM’s executive assistant.
