ABC’s Leno Pursuit Endangers ‘Nightline’

ABC possibly landing Jay Leno after he wraps up his tenure at NBC’s “The Tonight Show” could mean the end for “Nightline,” the LA Times reports. Both ABC and Fox are contenders for scooping up the late-night TV figure, who brought in $50 million in profit for NBC in 2007. “Nightline’s” relationship with the its parent network was previously strained when ABC made an offer to lure David Letterman away from CBS, the newspaper says.
