New digital broadcast technology is breathing new life into television’s oldest shows as broadcasters seek cheap programming to fill up new multicast channels, USA Today reports. Various services have sprung up to meet viewers when they switch to digital and get additional channels. “We’re betting that it’s a huge opportunity,” says Howard Bolter, president of LATV, a bilingual entertainment service that targets young Latino viewers.
