Few Pitches at Networks

Aug 12, 2008  •  Post A Comment

The networks have received few pitches for new shows this summer despite moving to a more year-round development schedule, the Hollywood Reporter says. One agent places the blame on the networks, claiming they are buying only prepackaged shows with big stars or shows that are based on existing properties, the newspaper says. The networks also are asking for one-sentence logline pitches before deciding whether to take the pitch, making it difficult for writers to break through, the newspaper notes.
