Flagstaff, Ariz.’s only live local newscast will cease to broadcast after next week, the Arizona Daily Sun reports. KNAZ Channel 2’s president and general manager John Misner said the station couldn’t afford to keep its live news broadcast because of falling advertising revenues and increased costs, the newspaper says. The station will air Channel 12 newcasts beginning Aug. 16 and is hopeful that KNAZ reporters will contribute local stories, the newspaper says.
