The ratings disappointments in the reality-TV genre outnumber successes such as “Wipeout” on ABC, and “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Hell’s Kitchen” on Fox, the New York Times points out. Other programs haven’t caught on the way “Survivor” and “Dancing With the Stars” once did, the paper says. NBC is calling “America’s Got Talent” a hit with 13 million viewers on average, about the same audience as “Lost” and “Heroes,” the Times notes.
