Producers Deny SAG Labor Claims

The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers reaffirmed that is not involved in any further negotiation talks with the Screen Actors Guild in their contract dispute, Daily Variety says. Studios and producers issued a statement on Monday denying the content of SAG national executive director Doug Allen’s Sunday night e-mail message to members indicating that some meetings have been occurring between representatives from both sides. According to AMPTP, there have been no such discussions since a July 16 meeting, the trade says.
