The Screen Actors Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers have different stories to tell about current contract negotiations, Deadline Hollywood Daily says. After SAG issued an e-mail update on recent talks, AMPTP issued statement saying that no negotiations have happened since the June 30 “final” offer, nor have any been scheduled. As a result, SAG’s New York division says that if no forward progress has been made by Aug. 25 a federal moderator should be brought in. The NY SAG division cites SAG’s negotiators as the reason for the move, not the AMPTP, the blog says.
