New York’s WNBC-TV is undergoing some construction changes to its 30 Rockefeller Center home base to go along with its staff reductions, Crain’s New York Business reports. The station is rebranding itself as a 24-hour “content center” and asking its staff of writers and producers to apply for new jobs for “content producers,” the paper says. Some layoffs are inevitable as WNBC expects to reopen with a smaller head count following a series of anchor departures and reassignments.
