The National Basketball Association is considering using its out-of-market subscription service NBA League Pass to get new cable carriage deals for its NBA TV cable network, Sports Business Journal reports. NBA TV has been stuck on sports tiers, reaching 12 million subscribers, but unnamed sources on both sides of negotiations say they are open to having the network become part of digital basic packages that would add some 6 million to 10 million subscribers.
